Football Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
The Gunners' 10-game winning run was ended by Sunderland prior to the international break, but will the English top division leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, readers and a range of special visitors.
For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
Murs' new album, Knees Up, is available on Friday.
Soccer and Family Experiences
Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a professional return as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."
The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.
"I will not push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer side," he added.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a period too.
"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for several years and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Forecasts
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to be patient for their star's comeback from injury but their offense is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this game will be quite close, though. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
This suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look competitive again.
West Ham's only away win this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was still that team's manager.
So, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.
The pundit's forecast: 2-0
Olly's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season started, but they have impressed a several people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four matches.
My son advised me to get Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.
The Bees have not had much fortune on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1
The singer's prediction: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1
AI's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
They have have plenty of talent in their squad but it still seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.
Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.
The away side's performance in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not seen anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the close of October.
However I am not going to do that. Instead, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.
Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a hard one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
