Iran is prepared to resume nuclear discussions with the United States on condition that it is approached with "dignity" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has announced.

The Iranian diplomat stated solely negotiations worked, and shared recent overtures had come from go-betweens to resume discussions with the American leadership. He claimed Iran had zero unreported enrichment locations, and Iran was not yet able to authorize the global atomic watchdog to inspect attacked atomic facilities for security reasons.

Walking a Challenging Course

The foreign minister is treading a difficult route since Iran aims to avoid be seen to be operating from a stance of vulnerability, and he consistently maintained that Iran had arisen stronger in military terms and emotionally from the coordinated strike on its enrichment centers in June.

Iran's diplomats said they felt they had reached a "perfect agreement" to the nuclear fuel concern in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an domestic cooperative with Washington's engagement could process nuclear material. Each party would have been able to declare success since local refinement would have continued and the US could be assured that Iran's nuclear programme was exclusively peaceful.
