The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Party
From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, demons, and sinister influences increasing in influence within the urban setting.
Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The latest chapter concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of heroes who will split off from the central cast to begin their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
The Reason for Division
With 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
Hence, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.
What Defines the Combat Party
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.
Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the campaign’s events—used the foes for his own means, breaking into the secret base, striking Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.
The traitor then settled his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
- The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
- But, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The cleric turned against the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the family.
This leaves them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in pursuit of Casimir.
Upcoming Developments
According to the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the combat party will not appear next week, leaving the other eight participants to form the Questers and Strategists groups.
Fans can look forward to finding out which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
